I know this EP has been out for quite some time, just never posted it yet. For anyone that hasn’t listened to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, they are some of the most talented artists in the rap world right now. Not talented in the sense of making #1 hits on the radio, but their writing style and delivery bring something REAL to music. It’s not just music, but Macklemore sharing his life with us. Take a listen and be sure to grab the whole EP free from them!

They also released a music video for Irish Celebration that’s pretty epic:
N-Dex is one of the locals here that’s been pushing out quality music for a few years now. His latest released Ultra O.D. has the same slick spaced out style that he’s known for. I’ve got a few of the dopest tracks off the album below. Go snag the whole CD for only $5 though off BandCamp!

A few tracks have leaked lately from what appears to be some older unreleased Eminem work. This is a tribute song to Proof, one of Eminem’s childhood friends and fellow D12 member. It’s a sobering song that Em obviously put a lot of emotion into.

Merry Christmas guys. We launched HUYM right about a month ago, and since then have had thousands of visitors and nothing but great feedback. Keep telling your friends about the site and help spread good music everywhere.

Last month Dave Niehaus, long-time announcer for the Seattle Mariners passed away at age 75. Macklemore wrote this song as an incredible tribute to the man, this childhood, and the Seattle baseball movement that so affected him as a child. Macklemore has such a poetic way with words, especially in this song where you can feel how it was to be a child listening to the Mariners play as a kid. I can relate a lot to this song, as growing up my dad was a huge Ken Griffey Jr. fan. For everyone out there who hasn’t heard this song yet, go grab the download below and enjoy the tunes. If Macklemore and Ryan Lewis keep pumping out tracks this incredible, they are gonna be huge in 2011.

Wyclef Jean recently joined the political race for Presidency in Haiti, unfortunately since he hasn’t lived in Haiti for the past 5 years he was dismissed from the election. During this whole process though he has been working on his latest release, “If I Were President: My Haitian Experience”. It’s a truly heartfelt album that Wyclef puts his soul and love for Haiti into. The disc doesn’t drop until February 2011, but we lucked out and he released the EP a few months early for us. Every song has a similar feel to it which usually is a bad sign for music, but I haven’t played anything else other than these songs the past few days. “Election Time” is bound to be a hit once the album comes out, so I put the video up and a download link for you guys.

The London based Ellie Goulding came out with her debut album “Bright Lights” at the beginning of this year and it’s pretty impressive for her only being 23. This is a very cool track with some spaced out electronic beats and sound mixed with brit-pop influences. She’s released this in the US and doing very well here, looks like an impressive career in the works. Enjoy the tunes.

Duffy has been around for a few years now, and released her sophomore album a couple weeks ago. It got some fairly negative reviews, saying she has strayed away from her original sound too much. But the title track “Endlessly” is such a chill relaxed song I gotta give her props for the song despite the rest of the album. Has a great Christmas feel to the song so got pick it up!

I found The Morning Benders through Urban Outfitters a few days ago, surprised I haven’t heard of these guys yet. If you were a fan of Teen Dream or Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, then I think you’ll really like these guys. Based out of San Fransisco they have a really vintage beach sound which I’m really digging. Enjoy the tunes.

I’ve always loved Lupe Fiasco’s super chill sound… add in some of John Legend’s soulful voice and you’ve got some killer music in the works. These two collaborate for Lupe’s upcoming album “Lasers”, which drops in 2011. This is such a chill sound here, really beautiful song definitely worth checking out.

This is one of the highest quality hip hop songs I’ve posted in awhile… Kokayi came out with this track a couple months back and this song is absolute FIRE. Kokayi is a D.C. native who produces and writes all his music. He has a musical talent that takes an entire career for most artists to come across and a such a versatile voice that he is bound to get big over the next few years. I picked this song up about a week ago and haven’t been able to stop playing it. Check the song out and be sure to support this guy and follow him on Facebook!
